BIO

James Kennelly is a multidisciplinary designer and fabricator working across architecture, set design, sculptural furniture, and spatial installations. With a practice grounded in material exploration and technical precision, his work brings together form, function, and atmosphere: shaping environments that are both refined and resonant.

Drawing on a background that spans built environments and narrative space-making, he collaborates with artists, institutions, and creative teams to create evocative physical experiences. From large-scale installations and bespoke furniture to cinematic sets and architectural interventions.

Originally based in London, he has contributed to a wide range of projects while working with studios including Westridge Construction, Clockwork Scenery, True Staging, Lucid Creates, Illusion, and Factory Settings. His practice has since expanded globally, with work developed and installed across the UK, Mexico, Portugal, Finland, India, Costa Rica, and Cyprus.

Equally fluent in digital modeling and hands-on making, James moves fluidly between design development and fabrication. The result is work that feels both grounded and imaginative: designed to resonate, provoke, and endure.
